Maksuda Iqbal Nipa is a painter from Bangladesh. She earned her BFA in Drawing and Painting from the Faculty of Fine Arts, University of Dhaka, and completed a Post-Graduate Research Course in Oil Painting and her M.Ed. in Fine Arts from the Aichi University of Education, Japan. Nipa is best known for her colourful abstractions exploring the depth and range of various tonalities, which she often composes on very large canvases. Her works have been exhibited in group and solo exhibitions in Bangladesh and abroad. Nipa is also a recipient of numerous awards which include the Honourable Mention, 16th Young Artists Exhibition, Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy; ‘Top Influential Gallery Award’, 15th Beijing International Art Expo, China; International Friendship Award, Amano Hashi Date Art and Craft Fair, Kyoto, Japan; and the Award for Oil Painting, Annual Art Exhibition, Faculty of Fine Art, University of Dhaka; to name a few.
